CAAP: Updated List of Airports Allowed for Commercial Flights by LGUs

Five (05) days after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) releases the list of Philippine airports allowed for commercial flight operations, an updated list was posted its social media network. As of Friday, 19 June 2020, there are now twenty-six (26) airports in the country whose Local Government Units (LGUs) have issued orders categorically supporting the resumption of commercial airport operations in their respective areas of responsibility. Passengers are, however, advised that some airports have different sets of documentary and passenger requirements, based on the respective LGU’s current restrictions.

Based on the same list, six (06) more local airports are set to start accepting commercial flights later this year.

Since March, when the community quarantine stated in the country, commercial flight operations have been concentrated at the NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport).

On the other hand, as reported by Panay News, the Iloilo International Airport (located in the town of Cabatuan) is set to accept inbound commercial flights from Metro Manila. However, the said airport will only be accepting commercial flights from airlines with returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) as passengers.
